Privacy Policy
We do not ask for your name, your email address, or your contacts. We do not sell data to anyone. The app works without an account, and analytics are off until you turn them on.

Coloranto is made and operated by All Craft LLC (“we”), a United States limited liability company. We are the data controller for the information described here, and this policy covers the Coloranto mobile app and this website. The way to reach us about anything on this page is support@coloranto.com, and we read it. This is policy version v1.
What we collect
| Data | Why | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| A device identifier generated on first launch | To hold your progress, coins and unlocked patterns without an account | Performance of our contract with you |
| An account identifier from Google or Apple, if you choose to sign in | To carry your purchases to a new or replacement device | Performance of our contract with you |
| Purchases and entitlements, meaning what you bought, when, and what it unlocked | To give you what you paid for, and to honour refunds | Contract, and our legal obligation to keep records |
| Pattern progress, meaning which cells you have filled | To restore your work when you reopen a pattern | Performance of our contract with you |
| Usage events, such as screens opened, patterns started and finished, tools used | To see which patterns and features are worth building more of | Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Technical logs, meaning IP address, timestamps and error details, kept briefly | To keep the service running and to detect abuse | Our legitimate interest in a secure, working service |
What we deliberately do not collect
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive and store only the opaque account identifier those providers issue for you. We do not store your email address or your name, even though the provider makes them available to us. The app does not read them either.
We do not ask for your contacts, your location, or your microphone. The Android build declares no permissions at all.
Photos and your camera
The app can open your photo library or your camera in two places: to turn a picture into a pattern, and to set a profile picture. On iOS that is what the permission prompt is for; on Android it goes through the system picker, which needs no permission.
The picture never leaves your device. The conversion to a pattern runs on the phone, the profile picture is saved as a file on the phone, and neither is ever uploaded. We never receive them, so there is nothing for us to hold, share or delete.
Consent, and how to change your mind
The app separates three purposes, and asks about them separately.
- Necessary is what the app cannot work without: your progress, your purchases, and keeping the service secure. It cannot be switched off, because switching it off would mean losing your work.
- Analytics is aggregate usage, to improve the app.
- Personalisation uses what you have coloured to suggest patterns you might like.
Analytics and personalisation are off unless you turn them on, and you can change either at any time in the app under Settings and then Privacy. Turning one off stops the collection from that moment. Ask us and we will delete what was already gathered.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of processors to run the service.
- Apple and Google handle sign-in and payment processing. Their own privacy policies govern what they collect when you use their systems. We never see your card details.
- Our hosting provider runs the servers in Germany where the service and its database live.
We may disclose data where the law requires it, and we will tell you unless we are legally barred from doing so.
Where your data is held, and for how long
Data is stored in Germany. We are a United States company, so we reach it from there: for anyone in the UK, the EU or the EEA that means the data itself stays inside your region and is administered from outside it.
Progress, purchases and account records are kept for as long as you use Coloranto. Usage events are kept while your account exists. We do not currently delete them on a fixed schedule, and if we introduce one we will say so here. Deleting your data deletes your usage events along with it. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is usually longer than the rest.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, the EU or the EEA, you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, take it elsewhere in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time.
You can export or delete everything we hold from inside the app, under Settings and then Privacy, or by writing to support@coloranto.com. Deletion is permanent. It removes your progress and your unlocks, and we cannot restore them afterwards. We will respond within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first. You are also entitled to complain to the data protection authority of the country where you live or work, without doing so.
Children
Coloranto is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect, and ask again for any consent that has materially changed. Each version is numbered. This is v1.
